How to make own will
Writing your own will is a difficult and often very personal
undertaking. It can take a lot of thought and involve contemplation
of subjects that are usually best not dwelled upon. With this in
mind, is it possible to make your own will without outside
help?
There are many websites which offer templates and advice to help
you make your own will. However thorough they may seem, though,
there are many reasons that it may be inadvisable to make your own
will.
The legality of a will is a very complex matter, involving
precise wording and exacting standards. If you make your own will,
it's possible that a simple mistake resulting from a
misunderstanding or even a misphrasing could result in enormous
problems for your inheritors down the line.
If you do elect to make your own will, it is advisable to
consult a solicitor or other legal expert to check through it
afterwards - or, if your affairs and wishes are complicated, have
them draft it for you rather than try to make your own will.
