If you have paid too much income tax, claim for a refund.
Despite the fact that over a million people overpay income tax
each year, leaving more than £200 million of reclaimable tax in
government coffers, most never make a claim for a refund.
Many imagine the process of making an income tax claim will be
convoluted and incomprehensible, and so never make an attempt at it
- this is the view many of us have of the tax system.
There are even companies which offer to make the overpaid income
tax claim for you - in exchange for a percentage of your rebate, of
course.
But making an overpaid income tax claim is actually reasonably
simple, and you can do it yourself easily.
