The law as regards your credit card extended warranty
If you have transactions on your credit card for goods and
services which turned out to be unsatisfactory, did you know that
your credit card company may provide you with an extended warranty
allowing you to claim a refund?
The Consumer Credit Act 1974, in Section 75, states that you are
entitled to an extended warranty to get your money back in the case
of purchases on your credit card costing anywhere from £100 to
£30,000. If a retailer refuses to refund money paid for an
unsatisfactory product or service, your credit card company is
legally obliged to cover this refund for you.
This extended warranty is there to make sure you are safe when
buying things on your credit card by entitling you to claim a
refund one way or another.
