Information on credit card consumer protection and your rights
If you regularly make purchases on your credit card, it may be
useful to you to learn about credit card consumer protection.
Credit card consumer protection, as laid out in Section 75 of
the Consumer Credit Act 1974, applies to any purchase made on a
credit card which costs anywhere between £100 and £30,000. This
credit card consumer protection establishes that if a product or
service is faulty, not as advertised or never turns up at all, and
you have problems getting a refund from the supplier for whatever
reason, your credit card company must cover the costs.
Credit card consumer protection is there to help you - don't
hesitate to claim a refund from your credit card provider if you
need to.
