Information about the Consumer Credit Act UK
If you've used your credit card to make a purchase of between
£100 and £30,000 that turned out to be unsatisfactory in some way,
you may find it helpful to know about the 1974 Consumer Credit Act.
UK law holds your credit card company responsible in cases where it
proves difficult to get a refund directly from the retailer - so if
the seller of the product or service proves to be unresponsive,
hard to contact or has gone out of business, you may still be
covered.
Because of the Consumer Credit Act, UK consumers are protected
from unscrupulous retailers who take their money and run. It's your
legal right to have your money refunded, so don't hesitate to use
it if you need to.
