Virgin complaints – what should you do next?
All airlines inevitably deliver poor service from time to time
and their passengers will naturally want to be apprised of their
airline's complaints procedures policy to seek compensation most
effectively.
Begin by consulting the Virgin website to see their complaints
procedure regarding your particular case. Always contact Virgin
directly, not the airport you flew from. Put your complaints in
writing and include all the details. Also include your demands for
compensation
Should you be unsuccessful with your Virgin complaints and you
feel you still have a case then other sources of vital advice
include the Air Transport Users Council on
020 7240 6061, or try visiting
complaints@auc.org.uk.
You may also continue your claim in your local county
court. Our GUIDE TO THE SMALL CLAIMS
COURT is good place to begin learning.
And a final option: according to Section 75 of the Consumer
Credit Act of 1974, you may be able to claim compensation directly
from your credit card company to cover the costs
of your flight cancellation, providing the tickets
cost more than £100 and were purchased with a credit card. Your
Virgin complaints may have failed but this little known clause may
yet save the day!
