Are you looking for advice on Airlines Compensation procedures?
Helpful Suggestions
If you have encountered extreme delays that resulted in a flight
cancellation and you would like compensation, you should first
contact the airlines that sold you your tickets, not the airport
you flew from.
To make a compensation claim for flight cancellation please see
our free guide on flight compensation. The airlines compensation
procedure may vary so follow instructions to the letter.
Plainly illustrate what happened in detail. For instance, how
long was the length of your delay? What were the reasons given for
the flight cancellation? Were you left in the airport or did
you require overnight accommodation at your expense or the
airlines? Tell them what it cost you and what you expect in
compensation.
You may also pursue a claim in your local county court.
Please see our free GUIDE TO THE SMALL CLAIMS
COURT.
Did you buy your flight tickets with a credit
card?
If your flight tickets were purchased or partly paid
for using a credit card and they cost more than £100, then
under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act of 1974, you may be
able to claim compensation directly from your credit card
company to cover the costs of your flight
cancellation.
