Know your rights under the Sales of Goods Act 1979
The Sales of Goods Act 1979 is intended to protect you, the
consumer, and it's important that you don't let unscrupulous
retailers confuse you over the rights it grants.
The Sales of Goods Act 1979 states that anyone who purchases
faulty goods is entitled to a free refund, replacement or repair
service, and the onus falls on the retailer to provide this.
If they claim that shop policy prevents it, or that you should
be taking your case to the manufacturer, THEY ARE WRONG. This is
clearly established in the Sales of Goods Act 1979 and nothing they
claim can change that.
