Your consumer rights under the Goods of Sale Act
The Goods of Sale Act provides extra protection and piece of
mind to consumers when buying products from retailers.
If a consumer finds that a recently-purchased item is not of
satisfactory quality, the Goods of Sale Act gives them the right to
demand a refund from the seller.
Under the Goods of Sale Act, sellers are legally required to
remedy the situation, by either repairing or replacing the goods
for free, or giving a refund.
Basically, if you find that new goods are not fit for purpose,
the Goods of Sale Act entitles you to get exactly what you wanted
in the first place or your money back.
