How to prevent being scammed

How to prevent being scammed

Don't ever reply to the type of requests as described on the previous page. It is a long-running scam and the money never exists.

Don't worry; the fraudsters have not targeted you personally. Every day thousands of these letters and e-mails are sent to people across the globe.

Never reveal your bank and personal details to strangers. If you send your details they will be used by the fraudsters to take money from your account.

Never, ever send any money. If you do, you will lose it.

If you receive one of these scams via email, report it to the internet service provider (ISP) that was used to send the email e.g. hotmail, yahoo etc.

If you have been scammed then report the crime to the police as soon as possible.

"I just had to put pen to paper and write to say I'm more than delighted with my settlement that you won me back from my PPI I had with Lloyds TSB. The Claim Forms were simple to fill in. It was a breeze"
