The health and relationships of over a third of Britons are
suffering because of financial concerns, a survey has showed.
Around 37% of people said that money worries have led to
problems such as depression, sleepless nights and arguments with
their partners.

In the survey, carried out by financial information website
moneybasics.co.uk, 12% of people said their money worries had
become a massive burden while one in five admitted their finances
were spiraling out of control.
21% of people said their finances were disrupting their sleep,
with 19% saying they were depressed and 16% saying the situation
was causing rows with their partner.
10% said they had resorted to comfort eating to cope with
financial stress and 5% said they had begun to consume alcohol
excessively.
In addition, 4% said they had lost their appetite, 3% had lost
weight and 1% blamed financial problems had caused the
disintegration of their relationship.
A large amount of people admit to living in denial when it comes
to financial concerns with 8% not opening their bank statements and
bills, while 5% ignoring them all together until they receive a
final demand.
10% said they had resorted to comfort
eating to cope with financial stress and 5% said they had begun to
consume alcohol excessively.
David Moxon, psychologist and author, said: "People frequently
approach their finances in a similar way to how they approach their
physical health.
"Some are highly conscientious and are careful to regularly save
and plan ahead. Others are aware that they are not doing what they
should be, but are in a state of denial.
"Getting yourself financially healthy takes time, dedication and
commitment just as it would to get fit in the gym, but the long
term benefits are equally as important."

"I just had to put pen to paper and write to say I'm more than delighted with my settlement that you won me back from my PPI I had with Lloyds TSB. The Claim Forms were simple to fill in. It was a breeze"
