Passengers who were left trapped and stranded by the recent
Eurostar breakdowns are to receive £150 compensation.
A Eurostar spokesman said: "Eurostar will be offering travelers
who suffered major delays on their train services last night £150
compensation per passenger in addition to a refund on their tickets
and a free return ticket."
Anyone passengers who have been stranded abroad by cancellations
will also receive the option to postpone their travel to a later
date rather than receive compensation. "Reasonable expenses" for
accommodation and food will also be covered by the company.
To claim compensation, affected passengers will have to contact
Eurostar's refund service themselves. They can do this by emailing
traveller.care@eurostar.co.uk
with their booking reference or by writing to:
Eurostar Traveller Care
Kent House
81 Station Road

Eurostar chief executive Richard Brown said he was "very, very
sorry" for the technical problems which left travelers in "hellish"
conditions.
The rail company has cleared a massive backlog of
passengers from the weekend but is still running a restricted
service until further notice.

"I just had to put pen to paper and write to say I'm more than delighted with my settlement that you won me back from my PPI I had with Lloyds TSB. The Claim Forms were simple to fill in. It was a breeze"
