Challenging bank charges

How do I go about challenging bank charges?

Banks charge their customers for all kinds of minor infractions, such as accidentally exceeding their overdraft limits or problems with direct debit payments. Recently, a large number of consumers began challenging bank charges that they felt were unfair or excessive.

Unfortunately, a November 2009 Supreme Court ruling sided with the banks, making it far more difficult to get compensation. Challenging bank charges relating to overdraft fees is now unlikely to meet with success, except in rare cases.

Other bank charges, however, like those involving missed credit card payments or exceeded credit limits, are not affected by the ruling, and it is still possible to reclaim these from your bank.

Claims Financial are experts at challenging bank charges for our customers, having already successfully reclaimed millions of pounds on behalf of thousands of clients. If you think you may be entitled to compensation for unfair bank charges, start your claim today by filling in the form on the right.

"I just had to put pen to paper and write to say I'm more than delighted with my settlement that you won me back from my PPI I had with Lloyds TSB. The Claim Forms were simple to fill in. It was a breeze"
