Is my bank charging me fraudulently?
Banks levy fees on their customers for various reasons, often
charging amounts which seem excessive for minor infractions such as
exceeding the agreed overdraft limit by as little as a few pounds.
Many customers have sought to challenge these bank charges as being
equivalent to fraud.
In November 2009, the Supreme Court determined that it was legal
for the banks to charge as much as they want for overdraft fees,
making it far more difficult to claim money back in these sorts of
situations.
However, other bank charges, such as credit card fees, are
unaffected by the Supreme Court ruling, and you may still be
entitled to compensation if you have been unfairly fined by your
bank.
Claims Financial will deal with your bank on your behalf to
reclaim money taken from you through unfair charges. So, if you
think you may be owed money by your bank, fill in the form on the
right to start your claim today.
