Find out about the bank charges court case
In July 2007, the Office of Fair Trading declared that bank
charges needed regulating and took the banks to court.
Subsequently, all bank charges claims were put on hold as the
OFT and the major high street banks, including Halifax, Lloyds, RBS
and Barclays, fought a series of court battles.
Ultimately the Supreme Court ruled in the banks' favour and the
OFT lost their fight despite having previously won in two lower
courts.
Since the Supreme Court ruling, it has become very difficult to
reclaim bank charges as the banks shut up shop and held on to the
billions of pounds they had collected by disproportionately
penalising their customers.
However, the court case only applied to overdraft charges and
there are other types of bank charges you can claim back.
If you have a credit card and have missed payments or exceeded
your limit you may have been charged a fee by your bank or credit
card provider.
Claims Financial are experts at reclaiming all kinds of bank
charges and have already won millions of pounds for thousands of

"I just had to put pen to paper and write to say I'm more than delighted with my settlement that you won me back from my PPI I had with Lloyds TSB. The Claim Forms were simple to fill in. It was a breeze"
